Meet the people recognised at UNISON’s recent Cymru Wales Awards 2019 night

Joining the branch a year ago, Donna has thrown herself into transforming the branch’s member learning and all manner of UNISON campaigns.

She is the first to volunteer for branch activities and it’s difficult to imagine how certain branch activities would now be sustained without her.

Donna initiated a learning survey, the results of which allowed the branch to better meet the needs of members and highlighted the lack of provision offered by the employer.

Her work has encouraged many more members to become active and helped the branch hit recruitment and retention targets months early.
