Meet the people recognised at UNISON’s recent Cymru Wales Awards 2019 night

Winner, rep of the year: Lianne Dallimore, Caerphilly County

‘Tireless’ and ‘dedicated’ are two words that come to mind to describe Lianne. She’s exactly the sort of representative you want flying the flag for UNISON or who you’d want in your corner if you were in difficulty.

Her support for members in disciplinaries and with welfare visits has been called ‘extraordinary’.

The Caerphilly UNISON notice-board is covered with cards and notes from members thanking Lianne for being there at their side.

Lianne is a driving force raising the profile of UNISON in the workplace and wider community with events and stalls.

Many of Lianne’s ideas for campaigns come to her when she is asleep and dreaming. Proof she eats, sleeps and breathes UNISON!

Every campaign is done with creativity and inventiveness and it gets results with one month registering the most successful recruitment in three years.

You’ve got to admire anyone who dresses up as Princess Leia for a recruitment event (May the 4th be with you).

When Lianne speaks, she commands your attention with her passion and eloquence. She’s a great rep for UNISON.
